Welcome to my blog! I am a photographer from the St. Louis area. I take pictures of all kinds of things, but I specialize in weddings, portraits & kids.
Ok. I am finally getting a price list together. After a couple of trips to Diversifed in St. Louis I have decided to use them as my lab. I will soon be introducing some new products that I think everyone is going to like.
You are also going to see some weddings and engagements posted that are older. I am slowly catching up on getting everything up on the blog.
So we shot some stuff this last weekend for Jessica for her portfolio and had a total blast. The weather was not all that great but we did not let that stop us from getting some great stuff. We made good use of locations, we went no further than 1/4 from her house! Here are a couple of my favorites from the shoot.
So I shot these two angels again but this time back at their home in collinsville. As usual they were full of life, and once again I find that all I have to do is observe and let them do the rest.
There has got to be a flag on this play!
I took this today in the freezing cold. I am getting a bit better at this self portrait stuff.
I actually shot Chey last summer. She is from a small town in Missouri. We went downtown to the landing and shot the photographs you see here. We got some great shots and Chey is best when she is just herself. She really lit up the photographs with her beautiful smile and playful personality. It’s hard to believe but she was only in junior high when these were taken and she was already taller than the photographer!
This was from last spring. We had a great day for shooting. It started to rain just as we were finishing but we went ahead and got some shots with an umbrella.
I can see myself either moving to Chicago or at least splitting my time between there and St. Louis in the next couple of years once I quit teaching. One of those reasons has everything to do with Michigan Avenue. This is my favorite street on the planet. The art I can create there is boundless.

I had the chance to shoot Joury & Tess today in my favorite place in the world: Michigan Ave in Chicago. Despite it being February the weather was great. We used some cool ballons and cookies as fancy props and had a great time shooting the two sisters.
It’s amazing the happiness a single ballon can bring!

Okay, so if you walk into my house and into my computer room, you might pause to take a look at my dresses. I have several on the door and a whole closet full of more. No I do not wear them, they are for my models! The one I am most proud of is the white dress in this photograph. I believe its circa 1950s, maybe 60s. I got it at my favorite vintage store over on Cherokee Street in St. Louis: Cherry Bomb. I have had several models tell me they want to be shot in it. One thing I am yet to do is shoot a model in a vintage dress with a vintage car. That will be my next project! By the way, the model in this shot is Sarah. She did an awesome job!
