Ashley

So this has been a busy summer for me.  I have been all over the East Coast and doing a lot of shooting.  On my most recent trip to Chicago I a shoot with Ashley.  Once again I find Chicago to provide an endless amount of inspiration.

Carly T. – Unique Models

Thanks to Escalante (http://www.escalantephotography.com/) and his creative team for wardobe and makeup on Carly.   I had a great time shooting with Carly who is full of energy and even laughed at my jokes.  That is something I really cherish!

EliAnna M. – Ford Chicago

I had the chance to shoot in a studio while in Chicago, something I had not done in a while. Credit goes to  Escalante (http://www.escalantephotography.com/) and his creative team for wardobe and makeup.   It was an absolute pleasure to get a chance to work with EliAnna who is simple a stunning model.

Amber

Well, today I have the pleasure of working with Amber.  I could have shot with her all day long and never grown tired.  She produced fantastic look after fantastic look like an amazing machine.

I love the look of color you’re getting. Particularly the ones of her in the stands. You’re getting amazing depth and sharpness. Is that natural light? What’s your post process? and last one, are you mostly using your 85mm? Great work!

Yes most of the shots I am taking now, even the full body ones are with the 85 1.2. The series with Amber have practically no photoshop in them. I healed a few spots on her skin (not much it is in real good shape plus I did the make up and I am using some pretty good stuff), run it through ASE2 at only about 25% on a custom setting then used a special sharpner on it. Most of the effect you see is from the sharpening. One thing I am doing is being very picky about location (light) and I rarely use my flashes any more because I despise the look of just about all flash. Plus I hate lugging them around.

Hey thanks for the info! Again, I love your work! Keep it up.

P.S. I’m so jealous of all the beautiful and willing women you seem to know :)

Emily

Here is a preview of a fantastic shoot I had with Emily today.  This by the way was her first shoot, believe it or not.

Great lips. You featured them perfectly!

Heather

I actually have not shot with Heather in probably over a year know.  But I was going through some of my older stuff and say that some of my favorite portraits I have taken are of her.  She has acted before and requires very little direction.  I literally tell her to level a gaze at the camera and this is what I get.
