So today I had a shoot with Julia and her daughter Nicole. I had a lovely morning shooting with these two beautiful ladies. We shot right around Westport Plaza which is a beautiful location just West of St. Louis. The weather cooperated and we missed the heat which came later in the day. Here is a quick preview!
So it was time for the Posey’s spring photographs. Since I had already photographed them this year in fantastic downtown Chicago, I wanted something really different that was a lot closer to home! We went to Elsah IL which is along the Rt 3 (Great River Road, part of Lewis & Clark’s Trail). The town is a national historic landmark. It is nested in a valley in the bluffs, with a crevice cut through the bluffs just wide enough for some houses and a road. The houses date to the mid to early 19th century. It’s almost like stepping back in time! We had a lot of fun wondering around and just taking advantage of the awesome scenery. (Oh, and thanks for the crazy hats Stacey!) Here is a preview!

I can’t stop looking at these pictures!! Their personalities are captured, and yes they are very different but WOW just perfectly done!
So Carmella, her mother Kelly and I spent several hours yesterday shooting some pictures of her. We went to a park and a coffee shop here in downtown Belleville. Mother nature seems determined to keep winter around for as long as she can so the weather was not so great. It was though only the first day of spring. We had a lot of fun, which included some icecream and chicken mcnuggets. Here are some favorites from the shoot!

I was in Chicago this week and had a great chance to shoot Tessa & Jori on Michighan Avenue. It was cold outside, but we had such a good time. Of course cookies always help a shoot with kids to go smoothly!

This is really only the 2nd time or so I have had a session with photographing nothing but children. I have been doing a lot of research into techniques on how to shoot children. This shoot was a blast. These two sisters were so full of life and fun! I hope you enjoy the shots!
